How to get involved
The Alliance is primarily a civil society platform for cross-country coordination as well as a space for debate and discussion with all stakeholder groups. It values open dialogue and input from citizens and citizen organisations, government, and businesses. Engagement with all stakeholders is a critical priority of the Alliance institutionalised through annual gatherings and ad hoc multistakeholder Working Groups.
Once a year, the Alliance will organise a multistakeholder gathering that aims to deepen the conversation on how the ENDSARS demands are helping to promote attainment of SDGs 16 and Nigeria’s commitment to civic space within the country’s OGP commitments. The Gathering will attract participants from Government, civil society, business, and other stakeholder groups offering an open platform for discussion, information sharing, developing joint strategies and combining efforts towards the mutual objective of an open civic space.
Ad-Hoc Working Groups
The Alliance Ad-Hoc Working Group provides a platform for continuous engagement with critical stakeholders such as government and private sector on issues that are outside of the remits of the main Working Groups but that are important to the work of the Alliance. It also serves as a forum for regular communication with other stakeholders going beyond mere information sharing but reciprocal collaboration on the Alliances priority areas of work, creating concrete outcomes.
